post impacted wisdom teeth extraction have random ear pain in one year. i have developed tmj. best way to reduce inflammation? taking ibprofene.

Inflamation: It is not uncommon to have some ear soreness after wisdom teeth extraction. It most likely due to muscle and TMJ strain during the procedure. 800mg of Ibuprofen every 8 hrs should be enough. It may last 3-4 days before it gets better. Alternatively, if the discomfort is unbearable, some steroids can be prescribed. Try to have a soft  diet and to chew no gum until it gets better.

Possibly: See your dentist or oral surgeon to perform a thorough evaluation to determine if your "bad" wisdom teeth are the cause of your symptoms and to take these teeth out.

i am having ear pain and stiff neck 8 days after having my wisdom teeth removed. do i go back to the dentist or to a doctor for this?

Either: The nerves that supply those areas also share a branch with the teeth. Phantom pain in the teeth can relate to the irritation/inflammation that comes with such a procedure.You might try some ibuprofen in the short term to see if it helps. Either doc could manage your discomfort.

jaw pain near wisdom teeth&have neck/ear pain&trouble swallowing.after sometime pain subsides but comes back if mouth is open wide.is this tmj?will it affect hearing/swallowing permanently?did wisdom teeth removal cause this?can this cause tinnitus

More info needed...: ... the most important info needed is how long ago were your wisdom teeth extracted? If they were impacted and involved bone resection to remove, full healing can take a month, possibly a bit longer. Any post operative issues should be addressed by your surgeon.

Coincidental: Probably 2 separate problems.  Both need attention.  See Primary Care Physician, referral to ENT Specialist may be in order.  See your General Dentist, referral to Oral Surgeon may be in order.

Wisdom tooth pain: Can to refer to other nearby areas of the head such as your ears. That is not to say that you might not also have an ear infection. See your dentist for an evaluation who may also refer you to your physician.

Wisdom teeth: If wisdom teeth are erupting it can cause pain in the area of the jaw near the ear. If the gum tissue around the erupting teeth, usually lower wisdom teeth, becomes infected, it can cause swollen lymph nodes.
If you are having these symptoms, see your dentist for an examination, and to check for causes. You may have an infection elsewhere in your mouth.

i have a constant pain which is prevalent at the gums located at back of my wisdom teeth on the left side of my mouth, which is giving me a slight headache and causing ear pain.

Wisdom Teeth: That area of your mouth often gets inflamed as your wisdom teeth erupt. There is no attached gingiva which allows food and bacteria to collect. Please see a local dentist for an exam... it may be time to have that problematic tooth extracted.

Ear pain: Pain may be due to the severity of pre-op infection, the amount of bone removed during surgery, or from TMJ stress from opening during surgery.
Check with your surgeon to make sure there are no post-op complications.
