Seek treatment : If you haven't or currently not under the care of a foot and ankle specialist, seek treatment. You should be properly evaluated and appropriately treated. Numbness in a diabetic patient could be the development of peripheral neuropathy which can lead to further complications, seek treatment with a specialist.

See a podiatrist....: It sounds like an arthritic bone ridge that is forcing a nerve to be compressed and irritated when you wear shoes.  It may be as simple as stretching out your shoes over this area, or having the bony lump smoothed down surgically.

i am experiencing  foot numbness and burning sensation. my plantar nerve was removed. should half of my big toe be numb?

Unclear: Not sure why you had either/both of your plantar nerves removed - nor any past history of relevant diseases associated with a neuropathy. The innervation of the top of the foot and the bottom are different, and the lack of plantar nerve(s) make it more complex. Please consult your doctor who can sort through all of these issues to localize the issue and additional tests to define it better.

Not necessarily: Numbness does result from a nerve function disrupted, but there are other things besides diabetes that can cause that.  This includes trauma (bone or soft tissue), compression on the site as well as swelling.

A few can...: The posterior knee injury with resulting fluid collection, formation of a large cyst may cause impingement on the tibial nerve supplying the foot.
Also, while injuring the knee, one can have a back injury affecting the sciatic nerve supplying the entire leg.

Left side: There could be a problem located inside the right side of your brain affecting  or causing dizziness weakness and numbness to your left side you need to have that evaluated right away. Either go to the emergency department or call your primary care physician right away.

Tobacco and kids: I get concerned about parental influence when i hear about young kids getting ahold of cigarettes. The body is not built to withstand abuse from smoking at any age, but effects on growing children are even more worrisome. Long-time smokers can develop many leg problems, including vein thrombosis (clot), neuropathy or "poor circulation". It is best  to see a physician asap for diagnosis, treatment.

what causes top of foot numbness that comes and goes? no issues lifting foot. all blood work from rheum & neuro is clear (they ran a lot). i also have an occasional tremor in hand on same side. neuro not concerned but im scared. 28yo brain mri clear?

: It is not feasible to do better, in this forum, than your doctors who examined you. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

5 weeks left numbnes: 5 weeks is a long time for a migraine . F/u/ w/ neurology consider MRI of brain r/o MS, aneurysm, chiari malformation ,  Test for lyme , Zika, chikungunya virus, c psine pathology with c spine MRI ( though cheeck is usually from the brain  ,  f/u /w/ neurology
