Good question: Tired or fatigue are non-specific symptoms of a large number of maladies. Not getting adequate quality sleep is common cause; anemia, underactive thyroid gland are just two which lab tests should pick up. A viral illness can cause it but should resolve by 3weeks. If you fall asleep during the day, you may have sleep apnea & not know it. Underlying depression, another. So if goes on >1month,  c gp.

what is the best way to get rid of being tired all the time? my drs have had blood tests done etc.but there is nothing wrong. i get enough sleep. im just always tired?

: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Wish you good health!

why am i always tired? im not anemic. i got blood work done and everything came back fine?

: For a Young Woman with no anemia or thyroid issues as cause of fatigue, sometimes it could be due to Vitamin deficiencies. inadequate exercising and/ or being sedentary can also weaken the muscles and propagate the feeling of being tired. Programmed Exercising like walking, jogging, dancing, tennis ... plus good vitamin source -especially the B-Complexes, Vit C,D  &amp;E could be where to start.

mid back pain and ulq/epigastric pain for 3 mos. fatigue, tiredness, & trouble sleeping. went to er for severe pain 1 week ago, but blood work didn't show anything. back pain bad today. should i go to er and insist they do more? my pcp won't help.

Find an MD who will: Severe back pain might be related to problems that won't show up on blood work. Make another appointment with your PCP or ask him for a referral to a back specialist. If you are getting no answers, but have a legitamate problem, you should seek another opinion.

Maybe: There may a problem with the quality of your sleep. PLMD (periodic limb movement disorder of sleep), narcolepsy, alcohol and poor sleep habits (esp erratic schedule) can all cause excessive daytime sleepiness even in a person who sleeps long enough.

fasting blood work, rdw high 19.3 with rbc 4.81, hemoglobin 12.9, hematocrit 39.2, mcv 82. what does this mean? trouble tolerating exercise and sleeping and tired, what's wrong with me?

Slightly high RDW : And lowish MCV could support iron deficiency, but you are not anemic.

Probably : If this is not normal for you , then I would say yes. Not all people have the same libido /sex drives so what is normal for one may be abnormal for another. Only you know this . As far feeling tired all the time , do you eat a healthy diet? Exercise? Get adequate sleep? Are feeling depressed? . See your doctor if you are concern for a physical exam and diagnostic studies as needed .

always tired now. dry mouth nose. dull pain and fullness on my center and left side chest. like something surrounding heart beat being weaker. what can be? i'm going nuts? i got x-ray ekg ft scan blood work. i get lightheaded  slow beat then panic.

Fatigue: Sounds like you need to see your doctor to get some blood tests and get checked out. There are many different things that could cause this. Most are not serious but some common ones are easily treatable.

Many ideas: Hypothyroidism, poor nutrition (many "healthy" / "green" diets are inadequate), sleep apnea, fibromyalgia, carbon monoxide (how's that home heater?), restless legs / parasomnia, Addison's, Chiari malformation, early MS, medications, early lupus, Simmonds', dysthymia (how are people treating you?) just for starters.
