Inflammation markers: Cancer can bring these numbers up but infection , stress or non infectious causes of inflammation can also do the same. Not necessarily always due to cancer.

Should see doctor: A recurrent fever of 102 is high. There has to be an infection that needs to be treated especially after 10 days. The throat tightness has to be evaluated so as not to close off completely. Esr just mean inflammation. There are infections that can cause lymphocytosis or incongruence of infection and leukocytosis.

Q: can you have ibd without diarea all my 7 year old has is brown smelly urine. even with forcing fluids. mcv mch mpv carbon m low protein crp esr high.

Yes: You dont necessarily have to have diarrhea with ib s. Have your doctor do a rectal exam on your son and to do a guiac test on the stool to see if blood is present on his stool particles.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your ESR is not of concern. You may be iron deficient and should consult your doctor about taking oral iron and multivitamins. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.

See your doc: The symptoms you are giving warrant further wrork up. Hemorrhoid alone do not explain the high ESR and the fast pulse. It is important to know how high is the ESR and to do a complete physical exam to look for skin rash or mucosal ulcers. Only a physician can guide you to get an accurate diagnosis.

Doubt it: Lymphoma would have more abnormalities on ct. With a positive ANA and high ESR sounds more rheumatalogical and suggest you see a rheumatologist . Does not sound like a cancer of any kind with this information.

No more labs!: Absolutely not! If you are otherwise feeling well, there is no need to recheck an ESR at any point. Great news!
