Paresthesia.: As long as the problem limits itself to the tip of one toe and you have no underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, you might wait to see if the condition resolves itself. Nerves can sometimes be stretched, compressed or affected as to disrupt their normal conduction and the result is a numbness or tingling. To remove all doubt, consult with a specialist.

would a partially cut extensor hallucius longus hurt when moving toe upward? er said mine was partially cut. i can move my toe up a little with nopain

Injury to tendon: A partial tear of the extensor hallucis longest tendon would most likely hurt when the toe was in a plantar flexed position. Planter flexing the toe would cause a stretch on the tendon.

i fell and thought i just twisted my ankle and an hour later i can't put any pressure on my foot at all and when i try to move my toes i get emense pain when i try to move my pinky toe. is it broken or what?

Ankle and foot pain: Yes a fracture is possible. Particular concern would be the beginning of your little toe metatarsal bone. May also have a sprain of a ligament of the foot.

Bruising & swelling?: Have an x-ray taken. Usually with a break, there is bleeding from the bone which leads to swelling and bruising to the toe and surrounding area.  This is not always the case, but when i see this, i always take an x-ray to see.  The fact that you can move your toes does not mean it can't be broken. Too much depends on the site and extent of the break to recommend treatmnent options.

Restless Toes??: Your toes are trying to tell you something.Put a pencil between them &amp; see if they'll write you a message.If nothing legible results,think about maybe it's nervous energy or it's just become a habit somehow. It would only very rarely indicate some weird neurologic problem.There's something called "restless legs."The toes are attached to your legs,so*maybe*this is a form of that. http://www.rls.org

Restless legs : This may be restless leg syndrome. I would advise that you see your physician, get the correct diagnosis, you may need to sleep a evaluation, get on the right therapy.

If this is a problem for you (not just somehting you noticed)  please consult a physician. You may have an issue going on w/ 1 of the musculotendonious structures, or it could be something stemming from your back where the nerves to the muscles originate.
