Depends: It depends on why it is elevated. The commonest cause is alcohol intake. Do not drink at all. If you take any medications, including non-prescription medications discuss with your doctor if you need to discontinue those.

Lead level: It depends how the level was determined.If your child's hands werent washed, the results could be misleading. As long as the level is less than ten, he is ok.

Hematologist: High ferritin levels(normal for women=12 to 150) such as yours suggest hemochromatosis or other chronic disorders. A  hematologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you about diagnosis and treatment.

are gluc levels sort of like bp in that it is higher (or lower) some days for reasons other than dietary...reasons even unknown (many variables)?

No: Normal glucose levels at different hours vary according to the amount of carbohydrate consumed an the range is narrow! BP readings have a great deal of variability in normal people/

Could be normal: Typically sickness causes Ferritin levels to go up. It can be repeated later on in few weeks along with an iron panel.

i failed to fuse after 2 two-level fusion surgeries. non-smoker, meds not an issue. drs want to try for 3rd time. what are the odds of success?scared!

Anterior fusion: May want to cvonsider doing an anterior interbody fusion to improve success rate.
