Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. Eczema and other skin disorders can affect the anus and cause the symptoms you described. You may start by changing your clothes detergents and giving extra-wash to your laundry. You may try to change the soap you use.

i have bad upper intestinal gas and bloat from ibs diet had been changed and probiotic taken daily. why does simethicone and fennel tea make it worse?

Accepted Answer

Every person is uniq: Uniquely different.  Bloating and gas is from swallowing air.  Try not to swallow or gulp.  Intentionally breath calmly and make only small swallows but gas can be painful.  See a gastroenterologist and ask their opinion.  If simethicone and fennel tea make it worse - dont eat or drink those things.

recomended treatment for ibs when diet change doesn't help. already on buprophin and don't like the bentyl (dicyclomine) but i have pain daily. all tests normal.

IBS: Ibs can present in 3 forms, diarrhea, constipation, or mixed picture.  If you have constipation, there are 2 agents you could try: Amitiza (lubiprostone) or linzess.  You can continue bentyl.  Having ibs, you have to work closely with your GI or pcp to determine what works.  Bupropion can help to decrease some of your symptoms.  However, normally, i would use Amitriptyline low dose.  Suggest to see your gi.

my bowel movements are only ev 3-4 days extremely hard/constipated now have hemmroids :( i do see gi he says ibs-c diet is healthy what else can i do?

Miralax (polyethylene glycol): You are having bowel movements one every three days that are hard.  Your colons main function is to absorb water and that dries the stool.  The fact that you are having hard stool means you need more fiber.  You could trt MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) everyday.  Make sure your diet is mostly vegetables and fruit which is the very best way.  A soft stool daily is most likely.

Food sensitivities: Consider food sensitivities. Also gluten and casein sensitivity. Coconut oil may be good for you. Gut damaged by gluten takes at least 6 months or more to heal.

Diet and fluids: Work the best in mjy opinion. Be sure to eliminate caffeine and alcohol from your fluid intake as they both contribute to constipation. Be consistent with quantities of food and meal times and drink 80-100 ounces per day, more if you work out.

Nothing specific: Depends on the sx you are having. Some patients do better with more fiber while others feel worse. At times patients respond to avoiding gluten, lactose or other simple sugars.

Idea Link below: Actually this is not too rare. It will be a balancing act - but you can do it if you're patient and motivated. I'd start at the clean out of a nearly liquid, bland, soft diet until the diverticulitis clears some. Then move in the direction of easy to digest more solid fiber foods still low in fat, spice, salt. A bit of poultry and light fish, but mostly selected veggies. It will be trial and error

Good question: cannot say in your particular case, but generally, regular meals, fiber, bulk, fluid. Consider caffeine, see what oils/spices/dairy do, sometimes good, sometimes bad.
