An infertility specialist can do the proper bloodwork and counselling to see if you are better off with surgical reversal of the tubal ligation versus in vitro fertilization witheither your own or a donor's eggs.

Tubal ligation: Tubal ligation is one of the most effective methods of birth control. In general, about 95 out of every 100 women who get their tubes tied will never become pregnant.
But in some cases the tube(s) may grow back together, making pregnancy possible. The risk of pregnancy is higher in women who have a tubal ligation at a young age.
There are imaging techniques to assess the fallopian tubes.

Yes: It's always possible no matter what type of tubal you had that the tubes can re-cannulate or come back together. Since you had your tubal in your 20s then chances of pregnancy over lifetime is appx 1 in 200.

i'm 30 years old and have had my tubes tied for 9 years... i really want to have a baby... is there anyway at all or any medication i can take to help me conceive without getting the tubal ligation surgery??

: With the tubes separated your options are limited. A fertility center can stimulate your system to make eggs which are removed surgically, fertilized in the lab with dads sperm and then planted in your uterus. The common label for this process is in vetro fertilization. It is expensive, and not always successful but is an option to consider.

Yes: Tubal ligation is very effective at preventing pregnancy but no contraceptive method is 100% effective. After a tubal ligation if you become pregnant there is a chance it could be a tubal pregnancy and that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. You should see your doctor in order to follow the pregnancy and confirm its location.

Spotting w/Ovulation: Some women spot with ovulation . It does not matter if you had a tubal ligation. The hormonal change can trigger this. You may also have something else going on, so see a provider and check this out!

i have had my tubes tied for 5 years. done during c section. recent xray showed free fluid in cul de sac, and pelvic phleboliths. did not mention tubal ligation. is there a possibility they grew back together? i have lost 70 pounds. was 22 at tubal?

: Depends on why the USD was done. The free fluid and the phleboliths can be seen occasionally and not of consequence. 
Sometimes it is difficult to visualize anatomical parts because of adhesions. The weight loss might have also contributed to it.
The failure rate of tubal ligation is .5% and you have not gotten pregnant for 5 years.

A tubal can fail: , not very often, butif u think u are preg do a home or blood test if you are not and have missed your period , please see your gyn for a workup.

Possible.: There is a chance you can still get pregnant since tubal ligations are not 100% effective. Make sure you check a pregnancy test. If it is positive, see your doctor right away because there is also a chance of an ectopic pregnancy (pregnancy outside of the uterus, e.g. In tube). Best wishes.

No not unless: Your tubes can be reversed or you have in vitro assuming you still have ovarian function at age 49 please see your gyn.
