hello! melatonin does not help me. zaleplon helps to sleep, but it can not be taken for a long time, since it causes dependence. diagnosis: chronic insomnia with anxiety disorder. i take escitalopram in the morning. can rozerem replace zaleplon?

Serious: Your Insomnia is not the common transient insomnia. It seems to be insomnia associated with some psychiatric illness. Taking a concoction of sedatives is going to harm you more and could be fatal. You need to see a sleep specialist and may need psychiatric help too. Please see a sleep specialist soon. They are usually neurologists .

Stick to xanax (alprazolam): As prescribed please, don't take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) together while on it, can lead to CNS depression, wish you well

i take ultram for fibro, zoloft and xanax (alprazolam) for panic anxiety disorder, and a ambien at night for sleep is this a safe combo?

No: Ultram and zoloft are generally not effective in  fibromyalgia syndrome.  Xanax (alprazolam) is generally not recommended for long term management of panic disorder. Ambien is safe and effective for sleep.  There is no best combination. Your doctor will try various combinations and see what suits you best in terms of effectiveness and side effects.

i have insomnia , take 30mg  termazapan but forgot it, i'm on vacation- can i take 0.5 mgs of xanax (alprazolam) to help me sleep?

Yes: You can take Xanax (alprazolam) and receive the same effect, albeit for a shorter period of time. Understand also that Xanax (alprazolam) has a slightly higher dependency profile due it's shorter half-life. Since you are on vacation, this may a good time to see how you do without either of these medications. Perhaps the insomnia won't be as bad or even present away from the usual stressors of your home environment.

Elavil (amitriptyline) : Elavil (amitriptyline) is a tricyclic antidepressant with a multitude of side effects.  Given your issues with sleep and anxiety, i would recommend you see a good psychiatrist who will take a complete psychiatric history so that you can get a proper diagnoses and get on the proper medications to give you back your life.  I also teach my patients how to lose weight, and keep it off, without the pain of diet and exercise...

It's safe to try melatonin but I recommend a tiny dose of 0.25-0.5 mg. Magnesium (ideally glycinate or taurate) 200 mg/day may help calm him; also a good B-complex with the L-5-MTHF form of folate (folic acid). Tulsi tea and L-Thenanine may help. : If you're still taking those meds,the only interaction with melatonin would be drowsiness which shouldn't be a problem as you'll be taking it about 1/2 hour before bedtime. It should be effectively out of your system by 5 or 6 hours. Your pharmacist can validate this advice.

i suffer with severe anxiety/ depression. my sleep is severely affected. this exacerbates my mental health. i wake up more exhausted than when i go to bed. im trying melatonin as recommended by sleep doctor but nothing is working should i be worried?

: Would suspect that your sleep disruption is secondary to your "anxiety/ depression", but cannot fully exclude sleep apnea, as an example.  Become proactive regarding your emotions, and start cognitive-behavioral therapy, which can give you coping skills.  A sleep study and sleep hygiene program may also be needed.
