Hot flashes: Not just young women (and some men) get hot flashes.  Certain hormonal changes, even thyroid hormones, can cause your symptoms.  get an evaluation and some routine testing. Best wishes to you.

Uncommon: Hormonal fluctuations can sometime cause women to feel hot/cold. If it persists, see your GYN to ensure you dont have any thyroid/endocrinopathy issues to explain it.

Evaluation : While heat sensitivity could be constitutional hot flashes are not a normal occurrence at your age group. It could be due to different reasons such as thyroid dysfunction , premature ovarian failure, hematologist disorder etc. I would highly recommend that you see your pcp for an evaluation, the sooner he better. It is possible that all tests will come back normal but an evaluation is important.

Fever?: Sounds like you may have a fever.  Check your temp.  Call the doc who did this procedure today anyway, fever now or not.  You may have an infection and it will need to be treated promptly.

Yes, : Yes, that is a very good question.  It is somewhat early, but women age 44-45 can definitely start getting peri-menopausal symptoms.  The average age of menopause is 54 but some women do go through it earlier.  Some women have peri-menopause for several years before menstruation ceases.

Hot Flashes: If your concern is that you are going through menopause at the age of 17, please rest assured that this is extremely unlikely. The incidence of premature menopause in adolescents is extremely low.
As for why you are feeling "hot flashes" at the age of 17...There is a huge list of things that may increase your basal temperature, 
please see your pediatric physician for possible evaluation/bloodwork.

There may be : There may be a reason for the hot flashes, the most notable is entry into premature menopause. This can be detected bu a GYN MD monitoring a FSH level among others. A less common reason is thyroid gland dysfunction which also can be blood tested. (TSH, etc.) and high blood pressure. See a  GYN MD soon.

Varies: Many women experience hot flashes, vaginal dryness, mood swings, insomnia, and dry skin - among other symptoms.  Of great concern is the increased risk for stroke, heart attack, colon cancer, alzheimer's disease, and osteoporosis. Talk to your doctor about these symptoms, risks, and the possible treatments.

Peri-menopause: More than likely you are experiencing the early or late phase of peri-menopause. A full evaluation in the office is necessary to rule out any disease process.
