Try avoiding Carbs: An Atkins or South Beach type of diet, avoiding Carbohydrates and eating more protein and fats for a month may help to shed away the extra pounds!
Even better with exercise like walking or jogging!

Yes, it's fine: It sounds completely healthy to me.  In fact, weighing 79 pounds if you are 5'1" would definitely be underweight.  We often estimate ideal weight for women by saying you should weight 100 pounds at 5 feet, and then add 5 pounds per inch, so 105 pounds for 5'1" would be perfect.  I hope you gained the 20+ pounds through eating more of good, healthy food.

Yes, but: The regaining of weight in that situation usually is partly water weight. Water is 8 pounds per gallon, so is quite heavy. If a fasting person were drinking plenty of water during her fast, then it is less likely that the returned weight is water weight. Each person's situation is somewhat unique. One's body also wants to replenish its glycogen stores (fuel) that were being used during fasting.

No, but why take it?: You won't die if you take 5 or 6 Loratadine tablets (50-60 mg) but this antihistamine that doesn't cause sedation at the usual dose of 10 mg may make you drowsy at this higher dose. Such a high dose of Loratadine may be helpful for difficult to control hives but offers little advantage over the usual dose for treating allergic rhinitis or allergic conjunctivitis.

Depends: Weight loss depends on calories eaten and burned. The number if steps needed depends on how much you eat. As an example (i don't recommend this!) you could walk a million steps and burn 10, 000 calories but you'll gain weight if you eat 10, 100 calories a day. On the flip side you could lose weight without moving if you fast. The best weight loss plans include a sensible diet ; exercise.

Not normal : Are you taking water pills? Are you having diarrhea ? Or vomiting? This is  a rapid loss that should not continue. But if you feel lightheaded when standing, or faint when you get up, you may need the fluid lost to be replaced. If its bad enough, this may have to be done with intravenous fluids.

Exercise and support: Record for a week, how you eat now to build awareness. Think of losing 1-3 pounds/week. Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes. Vary the routine: aerobic (fast walking, cycling), resistance (weight/circuit training), stretching (yoga, pilates). Morning exercise may be best for weight loss. Sleep 7-9 hours regularly. Eat low carb, not just low fat. Switch to water. Make changes with a friend.
