: If it was a lymph node that was enlarged and then subsided, it was likely in reaction to an infection in the area. Your symptoms alone are not an indication of breast cancer.

Probably not: Lymph nodes that remain less than 1 cm are usually of no concern for malignancy.  If they grow beyond 1cm and persist beyond a few weeks, you should have them checked by a health care professional.

Several things: An infection is the most likely cause, but other things can cause swollen lymph nodes as well....Your doctor needs to examine you and possibly run some tests to determine the cause before it can be treated....

Depends: How long has it been there? A few days, weeks or months?  Is it painful.  Did you have a recent injury, cut or infection further down that arm in the past few days.  Watch it closely.  If the lymph node is noticeable after 3-4 wks, seek immediate attention with your doctor.  The arm and 3/4ths of the breast drawn to the lymphatics in the armpit.  If it goes away, it was a reactive change.

Possibly: This should be examined by a doctor and perhaps biopsied if they find this appropriate.  Hope this is not serious.  Go see someone and get this worked out.

Behavior over time: This may not be a lymph node. Other things under the arm swell and get painful.  If there is clear redness, warmth, pain and discharge or a central "plug" to the lesion with a very superficial appearance this is very likely benign.  If there is progressive enlargement without the signs above it is time to see a doc.

No: This may represent a chest wall inflammation or infection. Get examined and get an xray. Additionally this may be a prodrome of shingles: watch for a blistering rash and seek medical attention.

Enlarged node: A biopsy of the node is in order to determine  its cause.
