i have fibromyalgia and started taking seizures my doc prescibed me resperidone and my pcp nerontin and now kolopin. can resipodone make seizures wors?

Seizures: Risperidone is associated with a slight increased risk for having seizures.  So, it needs to be used cautiously in your case.
Also, Neurontin is not approved for fibromyalgia; Lyrica (pregabalin) a similar medication is approved and works.

can i take phenergan (promethazine) if on wellbutrin,topamax,trileptal,klonopin,neurontin?no seizure history im aware of,dont drink or do drugs.get migraines&nausea.

Not recommended: there are at least 3 side effects between these 5 drugs. Ask your physician for medication adjustment and which drugs are most effective and have the least side effects.

doc added propranolol for a bad lithium tremor. also take zoloft, klonopin, lamictal, wellbutrin, neurontin & latuda (lurasidone). am i at high risk for impotency?

Yes.: Several of the meds you take can cause this problem, especially the propranolol!

why would my psych doc prescribe klonopin and ambien (zolpidem) together for chronic insomnia? doesn't that make tolerance go up faster for meds?

Chronic Insomnia: I understand your concern.
Both Klonopin and Ambien (zolpidem) can be habit forming, and you can develop tolerance.
Using Klonopin with Ambien (zolpidem) may increase dizziness and difficulty concentrating. Some people may experience impairment in thinking and judgment
Discuss with Psychiatrist Diagnosis of Chronic insomnia, Medication benefits and side effects ; Therapy for stress for stress in your life, Relaxation.

prescribed klonopin (clonazepam) to help sleep. took it for 3 nights, 0.5 mg tablets. want to sleep without it now, safe to just stop taking it? risk of seizure?

Yes, after taking: 3 times you can stop it. In mean time use good sleep hygiene. 1. Keep regular bed & wakening time (includes weekends). Get up same time daily. 
2. Make a regular, relaxing bedtime routine: warm bath or shower, aromatherapy, reading, or listening to gentle music. 
3. Sleep in dark, quiet, cool room w comfortable mattress & pillows. 	
4. Use bedroom only for sleep & sex.  Put work materials, &gt;&gt;.

had a seizure a week ago due to problems with a medication (klonopin).  now having daily headaches.  will this go away?

Slow taper: It is unclear from your question what dose of Klonopin (clonazepam) you were taking and how fast you discontinued the medicine.  Done too quickly, it can result in seizures.  Hopefully,  you are followed by an MD to do this correctly.  Most likely the headaches will disappear with time if they were not preexistent to the Klonopin (clonazepam).

20 yrs seizure-free, discontinued depakote. experienced anxiety. started neurontin (gabapentin). now 300 mg tid. anxiety gone, but st memory probs. & anomia. temp?

Unlikely temporary: You are likely experiencing anti-cholinergic side effects from the medication, which is a bit uncommon with gabapentin, but unlikely to improve readily on its own.  However, you may well be inordinately sensitive to such reactions, and might be well to check for underlying structural brain issue which results in this effect.

will klonopin prevent ativan withdrawal? can you stop taking ativan abruptly and start klonopin and not risk seizures?

Accepted Answer

Seizure Risk: Klonopin is long acting 12 hours. Ativan is short acting 4-6 hours.  If the dosing is not correct you can always get a break through seizure.
It depends on the amount and frequency as well as following your label directions to fully answer this question.
