Will klonopin prevent ativan withdrawal? can you stop taking ativan abruptly and start klonopin and not risk seizures?

Seizure Risk: Klonopin is long acting 12 hours. Ativan is short acting 4-6 hours. If the dosing is not correct you can always get a break through seizure. It depends on the amount and frequency as well as following your label directions to fully answer this question.
