Toubling: Looks like you have a hematologic issue which should be evaluated by a hematologist.  Low iron itself may cause itching and fatigue from the likely anemia but I suspect that there is something more complicated than that.

To correct the issue: Low platelet counts usually occur because platelets are destroyed in the spleen at a faster rate than new platelets can be produced. If conservative therapy fails, removal of the spleen can prevent low platelet counts.

i have low platelet count. used to have low red blood but now hv recovered. however platelet is still low.any reason for this?

Low platelets: It could be due to impaired production of platelets from the bone marrow, or from increased destruction which usually occurs in the spleen.  Itp is an autoimmune condition that sometimes can occur spontaneously in women your age and causes very low platelets. Other immune disorders such as lupus should also be ruled out.

not per se: No unless there is another condition going on that has caused low platelets and may cause fatigue as well. Repeat CBC and see your doctor for discussions. You may need more testing.

Not per se: Low platelet count does not cause aches or tiredness, however, it should still be determined why the platelet count is low and it would help to know the actual values of your tests. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that.

Platelet problems: Low platelets (thrombocytopenia) are due to either decreased production or increased destruction of your platelets.  A hematologist can assist you in finding the cause.  This usually involves a bone marrow biopsy which is reviewed by a hematopathologist.  A high eosinophil count can be seen with allergic conditions.  See a board certified hematologist and start the workup.

ana titer of 1:320, psoriasis, raynauds, major fatigue, easily bruise, low platelet count, positive anticardiolipin iga level, neg igg & igm . what could it be?

: You can have lupus, you have some symptoms,  fatigue, low platelets, and Raynaud's phenomenon, and the high ANAs titer. The coexistence of Lupus and psoriasis is rare but not impossible.

My friend,: ..You paint a very bleak picture. Your dad is elderly and his bad cirrhosis makes it likely that any treatment for his hcc will cause more harm than good. I would respectfully suggest that you guys start focusing on confort measures rather than additional therapy. Of course, I do not know all the details so this is a conversation to have with his treating oncologist. Best to both.

Poss side effects: Low platelets are common in hepatitis c and also can be a side effect of interferon treatment. Treatment decisions are dictated by the overall platelet count as well as the change in the platelet count since treatment began.
