i noticed this painless white spot in my mouth, it has been there for at least a month. doesn't seem to grow bigger. should i be concerned?

Depends: You may watch and wait. Examine the spot every couple of weeks. If it doubles in size, becomes firm, ulcerates, bleeds or you the glands in your neck become large, see a doctor.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

went to er for the white spot in my mouth/throat. dr said it was due to a uri. he said it was not cancer. feeling better but spot is still there. help?

Regular visit: If the "white spot" was examined by a doctor and s/he advised that it was not cancer, you could wait to get a second opinion at you next encounter with your doctor. If the spot has not gotten bigger, is not ulcerated, and is not bleeding, you can wait for the next regular visit with your doctor.

Unknown: If the spot has been there more than two weeks, see your local dentist for an evaluation. If it has been there less than two weeks, see if it will resolve on its own.

Checkup with dentist: you probably have chewed your cheek, be careful when eating. if it lasts for more than one week get it checked out

Sounds like a : Trauma ulcer causing the spot and swelling. Please consult with your dentist soon if it has not resolved in 10 days or so.  Make sure it is not something more serious.

See a doctor: Not sure what is going on. An ENT doctor or oral surgeon can take a look and remove it or biopsy it if deemed appropriate.

Blood blister: It sounds like a small collection of blood under the lining of the mouth. It should go away in a few days.

hard to tell why i have this tiny transparent round spot in my mouth just around my lip & when it bursts it's got a salt sweet taste happening often?

Mucocele?: It sounds like it is a mucocele, which is the result of a blocked minor salivary gland duct.  Some fluid accumulates in what appears to be a small round bubble-like sac.  You can pop it with a sterile pin or needle or see if it just goes away on its own.  To be sure that is what it actually is, have your dentist take a look at it.  Google it for more information.
