i  extreme rib pain under my right boob i caughed after taking a dab and i thought maybe thats what caused it is a non-traumatic injury i have  used methamphetamine and i smoke a lot of weed and cigarettes hurts when i cough laugh  stabbing pain?

is it normal to have rib pain with covid. dx on 1/4. hurts to take a deep breath cough or blow nose. only on the right side?

Rib pain: Chest pain on taking a deep breath can be from rib cage strain, other injury or inflammation. It can also be caused by pleural(lung lining) or lung inflammation which can occur a week or so after the covid infection develops. If your rib cage is tender, if there's no fever, persistent cough,shortness of breath, these point to rib cage origin of pain which is less serious and should resolve.?see MD

Depends: Do you have fever? Do you cough up discolored phlegm? Has this been going on &gt; 1 week?  Are you short of breath? Do you have 1 swollen leg?  Recent surgery or fracture? Diabetes? Prolonged travel? If the answer to any of these is "yes", you should see your doctor.

WHERE THE INCISIONS: YOU HAD LAPROSCOPY GOR ENDOMETRIOSIS,
where are your incisions, if you have an incision close to your ribs that could explain the pain.
otherwise my advise talk to your surgeon, they might have an explanation.
otherwise  apply heat pad and take ibuprofen.

i've had a cough for a week. the mucus when productive is yellow, i'm wheezing and for the past few days have intense right side rib pain when i cough?

Get seen: You may well have bronchitis. Is there also fever? Can rule out pneumonia. Frequent coughing for a week could actually cause a rib fracture. You need to be evaluated by your physician.

? pulled muscle: You could have pain from a pulled peri coastal muscle from coughing.  The pain could be from esophagitis from reflux.  If it does not respond with tincture of time with antacids and nonsteroidals, you should see your physician.

Possible: Yes, it is possible to fracture a rib from coughing although I have more common,y seen it in older and frail people.

got diagnosed with costocondritus. had left rib pain for eight years and x-ray doesnt show anything. hurts when i lay on my right side. i can lay on my left or put a pillow under. its lasted eight years.i dont think its costocondritus?

: it's unusual to have a symptom like that last for 8 years. An X-ray would not not show anything. It's possible that your rib is aligned in such a way that lying on it puts pressure on it causing pain. If putting a pillow under it helps and you're able to sleep on your left side then I wouldn't worry about it since 1) it's of no danger to you and 2) there's probably little else you can do about it

Rib Fracture?: Persistent coughing can actually produce a fracture of a rib. If your pain is localized over one spot of a rib and is tender to touch pressure this is a possibility. You should consult you physician to make sure there is no other chest wall problem.
