lumps in pelvic area,  not painful.  my dr thinks it's due to shaving,  but would this still be the cause if its underneath the skin? not on my skin?

LumpyBumpyGrumpy: If it is due to shaving, then what happens is that those little hairs, after being shaven-down, lose their sense of direction (they don't have GPS yet) and get stuck just beneath the skin. Then they get pissed off and try harder but can't break back through or, actually grow in really screwy directions. That causes irritation and bumps. Some people are just prone to it: armpits, pubies, face (men)

Lymph node or hernia: Those would be two common causes of a hard lump in the pelvis.  Other cuases would include: an abscess, a cyst, lipoma - but these are usually softer.

when i press down on my lower belly i feel lil lumps, pelvic exam showed no signs of abnormalities though so what causes that?

Leave it alone: If your abdominal and pelvic exams were normal, you have no lumps

i have a bruise on my pelvic bone that just showed up for no reason no trauma now it has a hard lump under it and it has a burning sensation. could this be something serious?

Bone islands: are benign incidental findings, they don't cause a mass.  If you had a bony or calcified mass the CT should have showed it easily.  The mass you feel may be hard, but not bone.  Additional imaging with mri may be useful if CT failed to provide an answer.

recently had both pelvic and transvaginal ultrasound. would that show colorectal cancer at all? been having issues and do have gi appt scheduled but not until july. was curious if a mass large enough to cause rectal pressure would be visible on u/s?

: Pelvic in transvaginal ultrasound only show small portions of the rectum. It would be easy for a polyp or mass in the rectum to not be visualized by a ultrasound. You should definitely follow through with the appointment with your Gastroenterologist. Good luck.

Likely lymph node: That lump you are feeling is almost certainly a lymph node. We have thousands of these in iur bodies. They enlarge for numerous reasons, most commonly because of irritation or infection in that area. So one enlarged in pelvic region could even be from a scrape or bug bite on your leg. If it bothers you, have a doctor check it out to see if you need any specific treatment.

Needs evaluation: Lumps, bumps, blisters and other skin abnormalities on the genitals need to be evaluated. An examination will be needed to know the cause and treatment. We need to know what it is you are referring to before any treatment options can be discussed. An Obgyn should be able to provide some direction after visualizing the area.

Go see ur Family Doc: Unfortunately, pelvic area is pretty vague as far as lumps go so it's best that you see your Family Doc for evaluation. Perhaps you have a urinary tract infection (either bladder or kidney) or a sexually transmitted disease (where lump represents swollen gland). Usually these infections lead to painful perhaps even frequent urgent urination. Bottom line, go see your Family Doc, GYN or Planned Pare

Can't tell : But it sounds like  it should be evaluated since it is painful . It could just be a swollen gland that will go away but see a doc
