i have a lump the size of a quarter under my ribcage on my back under the skin on thw right and it hurts alot. how did i get it and what is it?

Blocked gland?: A sebaceous cyst is a collection of oily fluid that occurs when an oil gland is blocked.  Some folks are more prone to them than other and they often appear on the neck, shoulders, and back.  Try to avoid skin products that are oily.  I would also stay away from transfats and bad oils, which is good for overall health.  See doc for diagnosis to be sure.

Evaluation: You need to see your doctor to be evaluated, to have X- ray/Ct to find the cause so be treated.

Probable thyroid: Directly under the adam's apple is the cricoid cartilage which can be felt as a firm lump.  However there is also an extension of the thyroid, the pyramidal lobe, in which nodules can form.  As both will move up and down with swallowing it can be hard to tell them apart. Suggest you see md.

Neck lump: A hard lump on the neck that lasts more than 2 weeks should be evaluated by a physician. Sometimes you can get a cyst or swollen lymph node, but if it's lasting for more than 2 weeks a clinical exam is important to determine whether this is something serious or not. If you have fever, redness over the lump, discharge from the lump, or difficulty opening your jaw you should see your doctor asap.

i had a painful lump in my tongue a week ago. 
it was on the left side on the tip it only lasted3days &it went away.now its happening again on right the right side its the 3rd day but i dont feel it shrinking it hurts bad ?

See a doctor: Then see a doctor or dentist and have to examined. It is impossible to know without being able to visualized the lump.

Get evaluated: A painful lesion can be several things but to know for sure, your doctor should see if you need s culture. Some of these lesions can be contagious so avoid intercourse until you are examined.

Depend: there is a very small slim chance that could be one of the rare hernia in that side.
it could be a lipoma, or a cyst.
see a doctor they evaluate you ,assured you, or treat you.
if they are multiple as you described them definitely a lipoma, and the condition called lipomatosis.. with that you should have some in other places as well.

Depending : Depending on how long this lump has been present, it could be many things.  Most likely it is a spermatocele or an epididymal cyst, which are benign conditions but may be bothersome enough as to warrant treatment.  All lumps and bumps in the scrotum should be evaluated by your doctor, sometimes by an ultrasound as well, to make sure it isn't something more serious.
