already tried 6 months diflucan and yeast recurring. tried otc creams. no underlying health issues (all ruled out). i take probiotics. any other preventative remedies? baking soda baths, boric acid? anything? gyn and id doc were no help?

: Do you take antibiotics for any other problems?  Antibiotics can facilitate the growth of yeasts. Have cultures been done? If it's not getting better, maybe it's not a yeast infection. You don't specify the site, but I'm assuming this is vaginal. If so, and other infections have been ruled out, ask your doctor about the possibility of trying Lamisil.

i had a question mainly for an ob/gyn doctor.  i've recently gotten the implanon birth control taken out my arm october 12th, then started birth control pills october 19th after taking the plan b pill october 18th.   m

One : One of the most common side effects of taking Plan B is an irregular menstrual cycle including heavy periods, light periods, early periods or missed periods.  You did the right thing by taking pregnancy tests after your missed period - after 5 negative tests, you are probably not pregnant.  The other symptoms you talk about can also be a side effect of plan b, a side effect of the birth control pills you were taking, or something altogether unrelated.

There are other reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a woman to miss a period such as: stress, diet, excessive exercise or a hormone imbalance such as with a thyroid disorder or poly cystic ovarian syndrome. If you continue to not have your period or if they become more irregular, you should contact your doctor to discuss.

If you've been having symptoms that make you concerned, please keep track of these and let your doctor know what's been going on and for how long. Just discussing these symptoms will be helpful in figuring out what may be wrong. Your doctor may also want to do some lab work.

Believe me this happens to many patients at 'inconvenient' times.  Your physician will have some experience with this and i would hope continue with you in a very gentle and professional way. Abdominal pain: Without knowing what your doctor based their opinion on it is difficult to comment, but abdominal pain can be due to numerous causes, and in order to diagnose correctly requires a full history, physical exam, labs and perhaps some imaging studies. If this persists go back and see your doctor and if dissatisfied get a second opinion. A gynecologist or general surgeon will often be best.

had irregular bleeding for 7 wks. probably breakthrough. im on pill. made an appt to see a gyn, but the bleeding stopped. should i still see a doc?

Depends...: If this is completely resolved and these were new birth control pills this could be more likely secondary to the body getting adjusted to the new hormonal changes. If bleeding recurs then you should see your GYN provider for evaluation.
