8 year old is in tears over burning legs. ( they are not hot to touch) seasonal allergies are bad.  burning swollen itchy eyes.  why are legs burning?

Uncertain: Seasonal allergy is not related to burning legs which may be a neurologic issue.  If your child has eczema, it may be from the excessive dry skin which may be relieved by application of a moisturizer 2x daily preferably with at least one within 3 minutes after bathing. You may also try a 4% lidocaine lotion to see if this helps. If problem persists, see a doctor.

take 5mgs amlodipine, coversyl hd plus & atenolol 25mgs 2xdaily. burning legs from amlodipine. can i stop the amlodipine?

Amlodipine?: I am not advising you to stop the amlodipine. This is not a common side effect of this medication. If you suddenly stop your medicine, your BP can rebound to high and dangerous levels. Call your prescribing physician.

Amlodipine: Amlodipine can cause swelling and symptoms in the lower legs and ankles. We generally don't wean amlodipine as rebound isn't usually a problem with calcium channel blockers. If your bp isn't controlled without amlodipine then another drug might be considered when stopping it.

will arachnoiditis always show on mri? my symptoms are burning legs&feet, leg cramps weakness in legs, no loss of refelx.lower back pain. other causes?

Sometimes: Arachnoiditis is often seen on MRI as clumping of nerve roots or adherences of nerve roots to the overlying dura.     The findings can range from very subtle to quite obvious.

Different problems: It sounds like you may have some different problems.  The dry mouth and throat is most commonly due to needing more humidification in the air you breath or snoring too much.  The headache and leg problems suggest a neurologic problem that needs further testing by your primary care doctor or a neurologist.

You need an exam: If you are experiencing testicular or scrotal pain you need a face-to-face examination.  Some of the causes of testicular pain are harmless, others can be very serious. Your doctor may need to do a testicular exam, a urine or blood test, an ultrasound or other tests to determine the cause of your pain.

: It sounds a bit odd but let us wait and watch as I expect it will go away. Are you under some kind of stress at home or at your job?
I would advise you to take a walk for 15-20 minutes once or twice daily. Right now it is nothing serious to worry about. Try to ignore it, relax and take some deep breaths when you have this feeling. it will help you to relax.
