yesterday i bit my lip and it doesn't hurt and i didn't even think it was that bad but now i have a spot that is purple. what can i do to make it go?

Tincture of time: Sounds like you may have broken some blood vessels.  Black &amp; Blue marks in mucosal tissues appear purple.  It will gradually resolve.  If still present in 10 days-2 weeks, see your Dentist.

have a white patch on lip for 7 months i bite that spot where it is and for 2 weeks i haven't bit my lip it hasn't gone away should i be worried ?

Leukoplakia : White colored lesions that don&#x27;t go away should be seen by an ENT or oral surgeon. A biopsy is often necessary to evaluate this problem. Overall, this seems pretty minor and you shouldn&#x27;t be too concerned.

Lip Swelling: If the swelling is from biting the lip, and the swelling does not contain much blood, taking anti-inflammatory medicine will help to control the swelling resulting from inflammation.  It is best to be on soft diet and to be careful not to bite the same area again, as it is common to catch the swollen lip over and over again.... If the swelling is large, it is best to see a dentist who may drain it.

Mucoceles: Inside your lip, you have a number of little salivary glands.  This bubble is one of your glands that is essentially plugged up, which occurred with the accidental bite.  It isn't contagious, but try to avoid biting it, which popped it up in the first place.  Most of the time, they'll get better by just watching and not messing with them.  A minor procedure can be, too, to unroof it.

Doctor can evaluate: A person in her early twenties with one or two new ill symptoms can just have her primary care doctor evaluate, and follow-up if recheck visits are needed. Young adults at that age seldom have bad chronic disorders, so no freaking out is necessary. Generally, one's doctor will signal if and when it is time to freak out.
