Maybe: What was the cause of the liver disease? Shingles are a recurrence of dormant virus living in a nerve root. The shingles is an opportunist that comes as a rash, when the immune system is compromised. In itself it can make you very poorly. The liver disease is important to know about. How bad is the liver?

So shingles would : not just be one group of blisters, it would be a row extending across one buttock, otherwise you just have herpes simplex. Sounds like you might have two different things going on. See dermatologist or doctor for correct diagnosis

i have shingles the break out has gone but  i still have the burning and raw sensation on my skin what can i do for the burning and soreness of skin?

Prescription meds: I would talk with your doctor. There are prescription medicines that can help with the burning and pain after a shingles outbreak. The most common of these is known as Gabapentin (neurontin). It is not right for everyone, so you and your doctor can decide. Opioids such as oxycodone can also be helpful. I hope you feel better soon.

No: Shingles is associated with chicken pox  not with herpes simplex cold sores.

Shingles & cold sore: Shingles is caused by varicella zoster virus, cold sores by herpes simplex viruses. Even though they are in the same family, they aren't same, you can't catch one from the other. However, if a person's immune system is not functioning properly due to illness/medications, they are more likely to get eruptions of both shingles and cold sores because these are usually kept in check by immune system.

Cannot diagnose: Without being able to see and examine this lesion it is impossible to tell you what is going on. If you are dissatisfied with your doctor's opinion a second opinion never hurts.

Not shingles: What you described is not consistent with shingles.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Not likely: Unless you see fluid filled rashes almost in a line, it is not likely to be shingles. It becomes clear with in 3-4 days. If it is on one side only then occipital neuralgia is a possibility and can be treated if persistent for weeks.

Yes it is possible : Shingles pain can be sore, burning, stabbing etc.  If it does not resolve after the shingles subsides, i would discuss with your doctor to consider nerve pain medications.

Unlikely : If only one sore.  Shingles tends to cause a lot more blisters/sores and the lip is not a very common place for it.
