Drinking and Health: It sure sounds like that is your body's way of saying maybe this alcohol thing is not for me. It is an unusual effect of drinking so it makes me think you drink more than your fair share.  Have you ever gone 30 days without drinking? Could you do that today?

Yes: But best way to know is by family history of diabetes , high blood pressure.

Adhd: Yes.  ADHD tends to be familial and she may well have it.  An evaluation at the very least will provide a baseline of her behavior.  It may also help with treatment if needed.

Possibly: I believe you meant heavy head or headache. Both can be a sign of hypertension. Make sure you check your blood pressure in the morning to establish your baseline.

Hoarse?: i think it is a fancy medical term for raspy voice,hoarsness .
it means that your vocal cord are failing to close completely, because the hyperfunction muscle pulling them apart.it si something voice therapy can solved.
be cereful until you have a better control there is slim chance of aspiration that could lead to repiratery problems

Not accurate/see MD: Your girlfriend is correct- machines like that are not always accurate and it is possible your blood pressure is normal. However, it is also possible that your pressure is high, so please have it checked by a doctor or nurse. Some clinics will check your BP for free. Blood pressure can be quite variable- if you take it 5 times you may get 5 different values, so have it checked on a few occasions.

Very difficult: I am really sorry you have to go through this - it is a very difficult condition to have.  Are you on any kind of medications that might help with neuropathy - gabapentin, lyrica, (pregabalin) etc?  Have you seen a neurologist for advice.  I have had patients with CRPS that cannot tolerate any type of shoe.  We have worked with medications, podiatrists, accupuncturists to try and formulate a workable plan.

what is the definition of pulmonary phibrosis? is it linked to pulmonar hyper-tension? is there a cure for & how does it compare to pulmonary  edima?

Lung scarring: Pulmonary fibrosis is scarring of the lung and comes in many types - some are amenable to treatment, some are not.  It is often associated with pulm hypertension and not usually associated with pulm edema.  Anyone with a diagnosis of pf should be seen by a pulmonologist so they can have their disease evaluated and poss treatments discussed.

can i use lasix (furosemide) 20 or 40 mg i/v in the a&e for treating uncontrolled hyper tension without end organ damage.? if no so why and what is the best treatm

Accepted Answer

Not first line: Lasix (furosemide) and other powerful loop diuretics are not a first line treatment for uncontrolled hypertension, unless there are clear signs of volume overload.  Without end organ damage, there's no need for IV therapy; most can be managed via oral medications as an outpatient.
