No!: No don't do it. First of all, it will be extremely painful. The dentist can numb you up where you won't feel anything at all. Secondly, you need an x-ray to determine the anatomy of the roots to see if it can be pulled normally or will need to go to an oral surgeon. Thirdly, you don't have the proper tools to do it. Fourthly, the cavity may be able to be filled and save the tooth.

NO: Tooth denay is caused by bacteria and once it has started the only way to treat decay is to have the decay removed and the tooth filled.  Decay will continue to progress and get bigger and deepeer until it is treated so the sooner you can get treatment the better.  See a dentist!

Upper root canal: In my opinion, you should not have a tooth removed that can be saved.
That being said, extraction of the tooth is a decision you should make with your dentist. There may be other factors involved such as other needed dental treatment, whether there are other missing teeth, whether the extraction will affect other teeth or your bite.
Ask your dentist if he works with care credit for payment help.

Topical benzoyl peroxide, retinoic acid, and/or Clindamycin are for starters, and you are likely to need an antibiotic such as tetracycline 500 2x/day; if you're not clear soon, consider Accutane for your severe disease. Dermatologist can hide scars when you are cleared up.

It : It is extremely difficult to determine what specific restoration the tooth in question needs, sight unseen. One dentist might feel it can be restored with a filling, and the other may feel it needs a crown; both are entitled to their professional opinion as to how the tooth should be treated. What concerns me more is that you were told every restoration in your mouth is faulty and needs replacement. Although not impossible, it is highly unlikely, especially since another dentist deemed the restorations intact.

: Using mouthwash is not the answer. Good oral hygiene, flossing, soft toothbrush and diet is the answer. Mouthwash can be used after all these procedures not as the only one.
