Get treated now, man: Nowadays all acne is manageable and it's unfortunate that you've been through years with the disease and gotten scars. Topical benzoyl peroxide, retinoic acid, and/or Clindamycin are for starters, and you are likely to need an antibiotic such as tetracycline 500 2x/day; if you're not clear soon, consider Accutane for your severe disease. Dermatologist can hide scars when you are cleared up.
