i shaved 'there' yesterday morning and noticed a little bump before bed. it feels like 'stuck' hair, so i am guessing it is an ingrown hair from shaving 'there'. how can i reduce the pain and swelling?

: Hot compresses might help...simply run tolerably hot water over your wash cloth, wring it out, fold, then apply to the affected area for a few minutes at a time.  Repeat this hourly during the daytime, if convenient to do so.  The heat enhances blood flow to the area.  If the pain worsens, it warrants a visit to one's physician.

Ice pack: Ice pack. Treating the swelling may have cosmetic benefits (short term) but doesn't affect long term results. Ice can also reduce pain. Apply it for no more than 20 minutes at a time.

would using amlactin reduce redness & bumps of kp ?

It helps, but...: Keratosis pilaris bumps don't like to completely go away, but amlactin can help. If the bumps are on both sides of the body (like arms ; thighs) one can use amlactin on one side (and use the other side for comparison). After 3-4 weeks, if the amlactin side is a lot smoother and softer than the other side, then that is a good sign that amlactin has been helpful, and one should use it on both sides.

Vitamin A daily: Protopic ointment nightly and vitamin a orally 10, 000 iu daily for 3 months will help alot.

Pregnancy v Bloating: Being pregnant would cause your abdomen to slowly get larger over time as the baby grows inside you.  You should also be able to know if you had unprotected sex and are not having your period anymore-that would point to probable  pregnancy.  Bloating is usually increased gas or fluid retention that may come and go, and generally feels different than a growing baby inside you.  See the Doc.

Subgaleal hematoma: You probably have a small subgaleal hematoma.  These collections are beneath the muscle layer of the scalp.  They may take quite a while to resolve, but are not something to worry about.

Pimple: Your pimples are due to acne.You can use. warm to hot compresses  to have your pimple come to the surface and drain

Likely a : Hematoma, as in a 3-d bruise.  Try compression and ice packs.

Maybe/not: What you describe sounds like a prominent spinous process (outgrowth) of your backbone at that location.It is to these outward projections that the back muscles are anchored. Nothing you do is likely to make it go away. You can bring it up with your doc at your next encounter.

im a bad hypochondriac, had no sexual activity for a long time. for a few days my frenulum on my penis hurt when i pull my skin back fully and now its with a slight bump but the slight pain was greatly reduced. could it be from jerking it to hard?
