The combination of raging hormones in a teenager and a fatty diet conspire against your pores. Popping pimples should be done as cleanly as possible, with minimum trauma to the surrounding skin. Apply antibiotic ointment afterwards to prevent re-infection.

Gently moisturize: Your skin with a non-comedogenic moisturizer.  Retin-a can be very drying.  You also should be avoiding the sun, or wearing a hat, sunglasses, or sunscreen every day if you go outside while on this medicine. If you find yourself accidentally scratching your face at night, you can try Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for itch.

Be careful...: First off i would never recommend dermaroller (microneedling) on your own as this is an invasive procedure.  If you have an active infection with the acne things can get really bad.  The needles must be sterile when applied to skin.  Microneedling is great for acne scars and when combined with prp and ppp it can improve active acne. Without a doctor and mild acne just use proactiv.

Acne: You must have very severe acne.  Follow up with your dermatologist to see how to minimize the scarring and to control your active acne.
