Yes, but : Taper off slowly so to avoid rebound reflux. Use every other day for a few weeks and then every 3 days for a few weeks an then stop. That being said, if you have barrett's esophagus it is probably best to continue.

Check with your GI!: Your gastroenterologist should determine that. Chronic ppi use has been linked to gastric lymphoma and should only be used when clearly indicated and expertly approved.

Nexium (esomeprazole) and: silver hydrosol is safe to use together. There is no drug interaction between these 2 drugs. For more information talk to your primary care provider.

Doesn't matter: You will not withdraw from Nexium (esomeprazole) so you can stop it all at once - depending on what your doctor has instructed you. You should not stop it without consulting him/her first though.

Yes: If you are taking nexium/prevacid for gerd or other non-bleeding gastrointestinal issues, it won't make a whole lot of difference if you miss a dose on rare occasion.  And substituting Nexium (esomeprazole) with Prevacid should be ok generally.  If you are taking either medicine for prevention of gastrointestinal bleeding or because of advanced liver disease, you should not skip a dose.  Either way, ask your dr.

Bioavailability: Taking 1 pill twice a day may improve symptom control over 24 h due to unpredictable individual variation in drug metabolism. Typically used in patients with partial response to treatment.

Seriously?: Why are you taking Nexium (esomeprazole)? Who told you to take it and for what reason? How long will WHAT take??? Did you know that if you do indeed have a diagnosis for which Nexium (esomeprazole) is indicated for treatment, you shouldn't take it for more than 8 weeks? If you do, you can cause gastric mucosal atrophy. I think you should see your doctor.

If you lower or stop: an acid-blocker you will experience a rebound effect.  You will make more acid for a while.  Please do what your doctor asks.  You may be able to supplement or transition to DGL, a type of licorice tablet that is used to coat the stomach and esophagus so acid does not make you uncomfortable.  Peace and good health.
