Can look similar: most  gastric lesions arise along lesser curvature or cardio esophageal junctions as ulcers derived from helicobacter p.  The lesion begins  as a non healing lesion and if biopsied can show a portion of the ulcer wall with Ca.  If allowed to progress, the ulcerating lesion will become  a larger nodular or fungating lesion that presents with performation and or hemorrhage.

what is the best medication to treat gastric ulcer.. my stomach produces much gas and upper part of it got swollen up.. being using omeprazole?

Maybe not just ulcer: Feeling full of "gas" may reflect malabsorption of food (like gluten, lactose), intake of poorly digested food, or choosing foods known to promote gas (beans, fizzy drinks).  Sometimes its more complicated--a stomach emptying too slowly, bacterial overgrowth syndrome, delayed intestinal function, partial obstruction from any cause, infection, rectum problems, &amp;/or pathology outside the gut.

if they have a gastric ulcer or one in the duodenum, can they have pernicious anemia due to the stomach of duodenum being destroyed somewhere?

Possibly.: Pa is associated with antibodies that attack cells in the stomach.  Besides interfering with B12 absorption, the stomach can develop atrophic gastritis, an inflammation of the stomach that results in the loss of all glandular tissue and scarring of the stomach.  But ulcers are not a sign of this, and definitely not duodenal ulcers.  The B12 problems come first, other stomach issues later.

is it considered to be a normal symptom for a gastric ulcer and gallstone patient to have to sleep sitting up straight due to burning pain in stomach area if lying down. i have no acid reflux. i'm already on 40mg x 2 of ppi. this was after chocolate.

Reflux: It's true that the discomfort of reflux occurs in the esophageal area(chest) especially in the reclining position. In my experience gastric ulcers often have atypical symptoms and it could be causing your distress or perhaps reflux is being felt in the lower esophagus near the stomach junction. Chocolate can produce reflux. Since you're so symptomatic, I hope you're under the care of a gastroenter

Endoscopy: It sounds like you are describing an endoscopy or EGD.  This a common method to get direct visualization of your gastrointestinal tract and to solve your problem.  Endoscopy is a fairly common procedure and many patients tolerate it very well.  Best of luck :)

Yes: It still could be.  The CRP is a screening tool.  So talk to your doctor about the correct treatment

Yes: It depends what kind of ulcer one has. If the ulcer has not healed completely but patient feel better or symptoms free, the ulcer can come again.

how can i take care of my stomach ulcer?

Change diet: Avoid foods that can irritate your stomach like spicy foods, alcohol and caffeine.  Also smoking can decrease the blood supply to your stomach and delay healing.  Taking medication like antacids decrease the acid in your stomach which allows the ulcer to heal.  Omeprazole or Prilosec is otc and is very effective in reducing stomach acid.

Exercise and GERD: Gi disorders are relatively common in athletes. Vigorous exercise has been shown to be associated with increased acid production and decreased blood flow to the GI tract. Gerd (reflux) occurs more frequently with exercise and can sometimes be pre-treated with medications such as h2 receptor antagonists and proton pump inhibitors. You should consult with your physician for a formal evaluation.
