See a trainer: If your symptoms only occur after long runs, see a trainer. Also check your shoes to see if they are running shoes, not just ordinary shoes. Don't rely on pills to help you. Pills do not correct a structural defect.

I am not sure: The reasons for edema (Fluid retention) are many, and underlying causes need to be evaluated and tested for, such as venous insufficiency to possible heart issues.  Best wishes.

Irritation: Your nose may run if it is irritated... Common irritants include dust, pollen, and smoke. It is very possible that the gasses coming up from your stomach have an odor or chemical component that is irritating your membranes. Do you have acid reflux? It may also be your diet. A local physician would be your best bet for a definitive answer.

Anxiety: is state of tension, apprehension, worry, uneasiness or fear. It may be related to anticipated danger or arise for no apparent reason. While mild episodes of anxiety are common and do not usually require treatment, more severe forms can be chronic and debilitating. See your PCP for evaluation and referral.

i started running a week ago. now i have a side stitch on my left side every time i walk through the the day. help!!

Slow down: That sounds like a muscle spasm of your abdominal muscles, which got overworked when you started running. Take it a little slower. When you get the "stitch", slow down or stop walking, take slow deep breaths until it passes. Try stretching your arms overhead and count to 10 to stretch out those muscles. In a wk or so, gradually restart your running program, but go easy and work up slowly.

i have pain on my right calf, which usually begins every time i run. what could it be? it just recently started hurting.

Muscle strain: Many things can cause calf pain, if it is recent, probably a muscle strain.  Are you stretching prior to running?  Are you wearing good running shoes?  A good option is to bring your shoes to a running store and have them evaluate for fit, sometimes the way your foot moves with activity requires orthotics (go into your shoes and help with proper foot motion).

every time i go running it triggers my allergies really bad. is there any way i can go running without having to deal with allergies afterwards?

Yes: If you are only getting these symptoms when breathing hard while outside, you've already done a lot of the work of diagnosing your environmental allergies for us! start with a once-daily antihistamine like cetirizine. I would recommend taking it at dinnertime, especially if you typically run in the mornings. You may also have exercise-induced asthma. If antihistamine doesn't work, see doc 4 eval.

why almost every time i eat i have to go use the bathroom most foods i eat make me have to run to the bathroom.any sauces, greasy foods, any dairy, spiced.i usually have to go after i eat with in 2-20 min after.why?

How : How long have you had this problem? Is your stool loose or normal? If it is sudden then you may be dealing with an infectious cause, viral more likely than bacterial. If viral then your symptoms will likely resolve in a week or two. 
You could also be dealing with lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome, or even a more serious inflammatory bowel disease like crohn's.
Regardless, you need to be evaluated by your doctor for work up and treatment plan.

Stretching : Several reasons why:
1.  Do you stretch before running, do you warm up before running.
2.  Do you do warm ups AND cooldowns.
3.  Do you stay hydrated throughout and make sure you replenish your fluids and salts.
4.  Do you have a nutritious diet that replaces vitamins and minerals in your diet.
5. Do you give yourself some recovery time like a day off during the week when you dont run

every time i inhale through my nose, i have to sneeze and my nose begins to run?

Accepted Answer

Rhinitis: Most likely nasal allergies.  Would treat with prescription nasal steroid spray.  If doesn't improve, see an ENT.
