If there's no injury: you are young and it's likely chronic strain...possibly from texting, body building, or other muscular movement.  First stop or cut way down on anything that seems to cause or aggravate the tightness.  Next is to apply heat, preferably moist, for 15-10 minutes as often as you can, at least 4x daily.  One supplement that might help is Magnesium.  Tylenol (acetaminophen) can't hurt.  Next step is rx muscle relaxant

Depression is treatable. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated. Drink more water. Masses in the throat should always be taken seriously and generally are removed and tested for cancers. Globus can occur on its own, but more often is caused by an underlying condition, with reflux being most common. You need an exam, and go from there based on findings.
