Any makeup should be gentle, and designed for sensitive skin. Your doctor can offer other treatments if this doesn't help; consider a dermatologist.

Real Rx: Sunlight helps a little but not much, and not by drying. Once it's on the chest, you can't do it on your own, and home remedies and topical benzoyl peroxide probably won't touch it. Your physician can probably clear you in about two weeks with a systemic antibiotic that's right for you, perhaps tetracycline 500 2x/day. If this fails and you're offered isotretinoin, accept it.
