Real Rx: Sunlight helps a little but not much, and not by drying. Once it's on the chest, you can't do it on your own, and home remedies and topical benzoyl peroxide probably won't touch it. Your physician can probably clear you in about two weeks with a systemic antibiotic that's right for you, perhaps tetracycline 500 2x/day. If this fails and you're offered isotretinoin, accept it. Edit.

Spironolactone: Adult women with acne respond best to spironolactone. It will take 3 months to see what it will do. Dose varies from 25 to 200 mg daily, usually 100mg. Very safe. Do not use if pregnant or kidney failure. Tell dermatologist all meds & supplements. Sometimes causes minor breast tenderness or intermenstrual spotting. Can be used for years. Avoid taking potassium (kcl) pills.
