It is a side effect: Your rash can be caused by acutane. It is important that you avoid irritants such as sun during this time and stay moisturized. You should also show your rash to your current prescribing doctor.

Send me a pic: I would be happy to take a look at pictures.  Many skin rashes can look alike but most are treatable with topical medications.  It depends on the rash which topical is best.  I also have an office in prosper, tx if you would like me to look at it in person.

Waxing: Rash and redness due to trauma (like waxing) is pretty hard to get rid of in just one day. It could take up to a few days before it completely goes away. You can try some very mild otc hydrocortisone, but know there's a small chance it could irritate it more.  You can also try some cool packs to the area.

Keratosis Pilaris: Keratosis pilaris is harmless (benign). It seems to run in families.  It is more common in people who have very dry skin, or who have atopic dermatitis (eczema).
The condition is generally worse in winter and often clears in the summer. You can try cerave sa which is over the counter two to four time a day and if that does not work see your deatologist.

Keep area clean: The reaction is most likely an irritant reaction from the razor.  Depending on the area of the bumps, i would just try keeping the area clean with soap and water first.  If it was bad and would not go away, you could try an over the counter Hydrocortisone cream.  I would not use this treatment on the face or private areas.

viral rashes could vary in nature from macules and papules due to chicken pox and mononucleosis to hives, which can last for a long time. Red itchy bumps suggest hives. Viruses come to our body, enter the cells of different types and take over the management of the affected cells just like a new manager. Our immune system reacts by antibodies to reject them, and will eliminate them.
