Yes if treatment: Is rendered.  Typically severe pain is due to irreversible pulpitis or abscess.  A simple filling would not be the trick, nor will medicine (analgesics or antibiotics) cure the problem.  Most likely either root canal therapy or extraction will be the answer.  Of course medications help with symptoms.  But see a dentist asap.

Till U get 2 dentist: If you don't have swelling and are otherwise in generally good health, you can take 600 mg (3x200mg) Ibuprofen (motrin/advil) and 2x500mg of tylenol, (acetaminophen) together.  You can take up to four doses as needed for pain. However, you should plan to see your dentist asap as i would not recommend for you to be taking this medication for a long time if you have swelling or fever, you need to take an antibiotic.

Additionally, only a dentist can solve the problem and fix/heal your tooth. Teeth never repair themselves and it's important to see a dentist right away so he can save the tooth and protect you from infection.

Go to the dentist: There is really no cure for a toothache other than going to the dentist and having it taken care of by either filling it, having a root canal or extracting it.  However to reduce the pain you can use  oil of clove, which has eugenol.

Not a great answer: I'll be honest and say that any relief you get will be temporary. You need to get to the dentists asap. Anti-inflammatory such as Ibuprofen will help temporarily. I've even seen people whole will take a clove and stick it in the cavity (eugenol is a sedative to the tooth). Doesn't work to well. Do yourself a favor and see the dentist before the weekend.

No: 4 oz of children's tylenol (acetaminophen) equates to 3,840 mg for the day. As long as you didn't take any additional tylenol (acetaminophen), you should be fine. Hope this helps!

Heal your sinuses: Sinus problems or infections mimic toothaches and can be confusing!  get an antibiotic such as Amoxicillin 500mg and add a strong decongestant such as actifed or sudafed, followed by sinus rinses with ocean spray.
