i have a scratchy throat but i'm no longer sick(cold) and my voice doesn't sound normal what can i take? i try to cough to clear it but doesn't work.

sometimes when i sneeze and clear my throat and there is blood in the mucus a few times quite a bit few teaspoons. and few minutes later there is no more blood. i dont cough. does not happen all the time only when i have a dry or scratchy throat?

Sinusitis: Simple viral upper respiratory infections don't last 3 weeks. I suspect sinusitis and/or allergies in view of the headaches and post nasal drip. The chest symptoms are nonspecific. Is there pain on deep breathing or is there coughing? See your physician for diagnosis and treatment.

Chronic cough: Chronic cough and scratchy throat with scant phlegm may be related to an allergic reaction. Avoid dust, mold, smoke, pet dander and cover mattress and pillow with a dust cover. 
If the cough is acute, it is most likely a viral infection and will improve within two weeks. Soothing lozenges and a cough syrup at night may relieve symptoms.

Sometimes difficult: but except in very severe cases of allergy, people don't lose appetite with allergy which is also not associated with a fever. Allergy may also be seasonal.  Cold is more common when school starts and in the winter, allergy in the warmer months. Cold is not relieved by antihistamine which does reduce allergic symptoms. Itching is not associated with a cold.   Hope these points are helpful.

Scratchy throat: Salt water gargles, throat lozenges and painkillers unless contraindicated, may help, if no improvement see your doctor, wish you well

Analgesics: An analgesic tylenol, (acetaminophen) motrin, Aleve should relieve scratchiness.  Also honey if you're not an infant.  Soft non acidic foods can be soothing too.

Dry throat: Post nasal drip and nasal congestion can give you a dry itchy throat. Any medications that you take that dries your mouth also can add to your symptoms.
