how soon after food should i take my anti biotics. does it matter if i.drink hot soup or have cold drinks after taking the anti biotics?

Correct: That would be ok.  So long as there is some food present to help with absorption of the medication or to help protect the lining of the stomach.  Food helps to stimulate the digestive fluids to help absorption of some medications.

Yes: Coffee and certain foods, especially hot or warm ones can certainly cause hot flashes.  Avoidance of foods that cause the hot flashes can help.  Regular exercise, possibly one gentle on the joints like swimming, yoga, walking can help decrease frequency of hot flashes as well.

Metronidazol: Metronidazole may be taken with or without food. It may also be taken with milk to avoid stomach upset. Tablets may be crushed and the capsules may be opened and sprinkled on soft food.   The one thing I did find out is that the extended release is better taken on an empty stomach.  Hope this helps!

Throat Clearing: Often this is due to thick mucus that accumulates in the lower throat. Green tea with lemon may help. Is there a sinus with postnasal drip?
Ask your doctor about using Clear.ease Lozenges - these are the papain/bromelain enzymes you melt in your mouth between cheek and gums to thin the mucus.
