No: Men get a pass on most of the age issues faced by women as they age.Fatherhood up into the 70's is possible & since the healthiest sperm swim the best,  the outcome is usually good from the male contribution standpoint.

Workup: Identifying the cause of pain is crucial.  A thorough blood panel should be conducted --including lyme titer, rheumatoid workup and vitamin deficiencies should be included.

A detailed of the history can guide the provider to the cause. What makes it better / worse----onset?  Type of pain?

Not to late: Congratulations on the decision to have a baby!  when you ask about counseling do you mean genetic counseling? It is recommended for women giving birth over the age of 35. Tell your obgyn, it's usually no big deal. If you mean psychological counseling, it's a great time. Trying to conceive can be hard on a relationship.  Other than that, lots of sex. Depends on symptoms: Most women go through menopause and end up just fine.  But there are different symptoms of menopause and some women have them all and some have none.  It depends on her symptoms and if there is anything else wrong at the same time.  For example, a diabetic woman may have more trouble than a non diabetic, etc.

It depends...: Estimates based on  mid parental height are predictors, but not perfect. 
(mom+5 inches + dad) /2
 at this point the most important thing is his stage of puberty as this will determine the time he has left to grow.

May need testing: It would be advisable to have your wife evaluated for possible lack of ovulation, or possible fibroids in uterus, or early menopause, or other physical problem getting pregnant..  It would also be advisable that you see a specialist to determine your sperm count and know if you have good sperm motility.  Remember it takes 2 people to make a baby.  Both of you should talk to your doctors.

Projected height: The height expectation for male offspring is the average of the parental height + 2.5 inches.By your numbers alone, the boy's expected height would be m+f/2+2.5=67". His present stature at 2.5 yrs suggests he may eventually be as tall as 70 inches.
