If all you: tests are NORMAL (MCV, MCHC,and blood smear)then the RBC count is NOT by itself an indicator of disease! Hope this helps! Dr Z

No: Anemia may warn of colon or stomach cancer. Leukemia will show up on a CBC but otherwise CBC is not a cancer screen.
