A member asked:

Been taking iron for almost 2 years. my last results were iron sat. 30, tibc 365, iron 109, ferritin 35. is this ok? no cbc was done. morning draw.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Keep taking iron: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your iron levels are nearly okay, however, you need to find out what your hemoglobin level is. In the mean time keep taking iron.
