It may slow things: Down a little.  Insure that you are hydrating well (at least 64 oz water/ day). Aim for at least 5 servings of veggies and 4 of fruit per day. Moderate dairy use and avoid poor quality carbs. Get daily physical activity.  You can try an otc laxative. If these measures don't help with your constipation - then discuss with your doctor.

It depends: On what's causing you to poop. If you have an illness, infectious or autoimmune, then you might not be absorbing your food properly, and you will probably lose weight. You should definitely see your doctor.

If you want to poop so you lose weight, then no. Your bathroom scale might lower in the short term, but you haven't really lost any excess body fat, just water and, well, poop.

: The digestive system is a long tube with several compartments. Everything you put in up top goes through a sequence of changes until it exits, The last compartment removes water &amp; compacts the debris, so constipation is common if stuff isn't moving along normally. If you are eating less (not putting it in) it doesn't push it along to exit. The hernia is of little or no importance.

Yes, just yes.: Even in a normal person, up to a pound variation can occur with stool. This can go to 3 pounds if there is significant constipation. ALSO, water weight in a normal person is an additional pound variation. With running, it can go to 2-3 pound changes and with conditions where the fluid level is abnormal due to organ failure, a 5% variation is quite common.

my uncle went to doctor two weeks ago. they said he has a blockage as he can poop and everything he eats he vomit out again he is getting weak and losing a lot of weight. please help?
