: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory effect but the effect is slow and not the same to everybody such as NSAIDs. Initially, you should take twice a day.

1-3 grams: Indians routinely consume up to 3 grams per day in their diets.  I recommend 1,000-3,000 mg per day, depending on your response.

Also, try Boswella serratta (Indian Frankincense) for its anti-inflammatory properties, in addition to Turmeric.

: There is not a prescription grade of turmeric and, since these supplements are not FDA approved, there is no way to know which brand is better than another. It may well be trial and error to find which one works best for you. There may be medical treatments for your inflammation that your doctor could recommend so see your doctor for help. Not particularly: I would consider turmeric a good natural alternative to agents like ibuprofen for its anti-inflammatory effects. However, I think its consumption for a focal issue like an anal fissure of hemorrhoids no more helpful than the ibuprofen. Focal issues like that benefit from focal use of anti-inflammatory creams/ointments.

Not much: Neither agent has much value in lupus. There are several alternatives that are actually effective but these supplements are not.

Needs more study but: There's not a lot of research that gives a good answer to this question but it should be safe to try 500 mg 3x/day with food. According to https://nootriment.com/curcumin-dosage/
"4 g of curcumin a day for 30 days did not result in serious side effect" so it may be safe to go even higher but start with 500 mg 3x/day and after 2 weeks could try a bit more; if side effects like stomach upset reduce.
