Milk: As long as it is non-fat or skim milk, that isn't a problem. He will get his calcium for strong bones and teeth. Just make sure he is eating a variety of healthy foods as well. The fat in whole milk is not particularly healthy after toddlerhood, because it is high in cholesterol and saturated fats, so we switch to skim milk at 2 years old.

First birthday: A baby under 12 months of age is too young for any kind of milk that is not breast milk or a baby formula created for babies. The combination of nutrients in cow milk or other kinds of milk is not balanced correctly for young babies. In the US, babies don't start drinking cow milk (called whole milk or full cream milk, and pasteurized for safety) until their first birthday.

Limit her intake:: 16 to 24 ounce in a day. Milk is low in iron, and when kids drink too much of it they don't eat enough of other iron rich foods.  Milk also decreases the absorption of iron into the blood stream and can also irritate the intestinal lining causing small amounts of bleeding and the gradual loss of iron in the stool. This can lead to iron deficiency anemia.

Give less milk: Wt at 15 mos should be slightly over double the birth weight unless she weighed 6kms at birth. The problem she is  getting too much milk she should get approximately 20 oz of milk per day. This would give her more room in her stomach to take the solid food make sure that she does not see the bottle while you are giving her the food, at 15mos she should be weaned from the bottle and milk given in.

May not be much: You need  about 500 mg day of  calcium suplements and vitmain D up to 4000IU/day depending on your levels. You physician can help you with the monitoring. At your  age  you can still improve your  bone  bank of calcium with diet.

You need calcium: Unless the silk almond milk specifically states that it is fortified with calcium, it would not be a good source of calcium and you would need other calcium supplementation. You also need vitamin d to help build those strong bones and prevent bone-loss related diseases. Speak with a dietician regarding specific amounts daily, as this depends on age, weight, other meds taking, etc. Be strong!

They can but...: Formula is a complete nutrition. They likely expect you to follow their lead and use what they provided. If you don't know the kid well enough to know if he has food allergies or other issues you would be wise not to offer anything else. Clarify the issue in the future if you sit for him again.
