A member asked:

Hello drs. my daughter's age is two yrs and ten months, how many oz of milk she has to drink during a day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Limit her intake:: 16 to 24 ounce in a day. Milk is low in iron, and when kids drink too much of it they don't eat enough of other iron rich foods. Milk also decreases the absorption of iron into the blood stream and can also irritate the intestinal lining causing small amounts of bleeding and the gradual loss of iron in the stool. This can lead to iron deficiency anemia.
