1-2 pills: If his kidney functions are ok he can 250-500 mg magnesium. If he gets diarrhea cut the dosage why he has low magnesium ?  Does he take water pills? Does he have muscle aches or pains or muscle cramps high BP or heart problems. These are some symptoms of magnesium deficiency

: If you're a healthy person, why are you taking so much magnesium? That is way too much magnesium to take as a simple daily supplement and can be dangerous if one has kidney disease. Troublesome diarrhea can be caused by that dose.   Rarely we prescribe more than 400 mgs unless patients have severe magnesium  deficiency from diuretics or long term vomiting or diarrhea.

Oral Mg replacement : You need to know how low your serum magnesium level is. Normal level is 1.5 to 2.5 and if your level is close to 1, you will likely need a total of a gram 500 mg twice daily or 400 mg three times daily for two weeks. Check your Mg level and adjust replacement accordingly

No: Magnesium will also helps counter pregnancy's tendency for constipation and leg cramps.  Decrease the amount if you get very loose stools.

See below.: There is no normal for this completly bogus treatment.  It may even be potentially toxic depending upon dose. All peroxides are very potent oxidizing agents and are not for ingestion. There is no such thing as being too acid in a walking talking individual and you do not need to be de-acidified. Save your money and your health.

Yes: If you are eating a normal mixed diet and are not an excessive user of alcohol, you do not need magnesium supplement.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.
