Usually: Astigmatism or irregular corneal surface.
If a retro bulbar infection for anesthesia is done this may cause some short term 
 diplopia.

Accepted Answer

Maybe: If you are having double vision and measurements are consistent, then a 4th surgery may be considered.  Your surgeon will not to be cautious not to disrupt too many muscle since this increases the risk of anterior segment ischemia.

Accepted Answer

Depends: Is the double vision only in  the operated eye? ( when other eye is closed?) as long as the iol  was properly inserted , cause could be as simple as refractive error and corrected with glasses. Ask your operating surgeon at your next visit.

Accepted Answer

Depends: How recent was the blowout.  Generally surgery is done if doubling of vision occurs or the eye is too inwardly displaced (enophthalmos).  You may need surgery if this was recent and should get the advice of an oculoplastic surgeon to see if you can be helped.

ten days after having bi lateral strabismus surgery, my double vision is back. can i use my specs that have a prism, or do i have to try and manage  ?

See your surgeon: The prism glasses you already have may not work, because the measurements have probably changed.  If you haven't already done so, try on your glasses--they may help a little with the double.  If you do not have a follow up appointment scheduled with your surgeon, you should make one.

Corrective lens: Cataracts are fogging of your lens.  Removal of the same only clears up the field.  You may likely still need to correct some of your vision though it sounds like you had a very good outcome.

Cataracts: Decision when to have cataract surgery depends on: how much glare/halos you have when driving at night if you drive at night (what did your glare test show?); effect on your activities of daily living; loss of best corrected vision; microscopic exam at slit lamp of cataract; other risk factors (pseudoexfoliation, glaucoma, diabetes &amp; it's control= causes vision flux). Depends: Right after surgery or has it been awhile?  If eye muscle surgery was supposed to correct it but did not, then could be under/over-corrected, or could have alignment issues in more than 1 direction that was only partially treated, or other causes.

Depends: The goal of Chiara surgery is to restore the normal pattern of CSF flow &amp; thereby prevent further deterioration of the visual (&amp; balance) symptoms of the ACM malformation. Whether this helps existing symptoms depends on how long those symptoms have been present, the type of surgery contemplated, it's success rate, age, &amp; underlying factors. It's a question to ask the neurologist who knows you best

Sometimes: Prisms can be used in glasses if the double vision/lazy eye is small to correct things without surgery.  If the defect is to large, prisms are not a realistic option.
