Cataracts: Decision when to have cataract surgery depends on: how much glare/halos you have when driving at night if you drive at night (what did your glare test show?); effect on your activities of daily living; loss of best corrected vision; microscopic exam at slit lamp of cataract; other risk factors (pseudoexfoliation, glaucoma, diabetes & it's control= causes vision flux).
