i was flagyl for diverticulitis now 2 days after finishing it i have a bad taste in my mouth that reminds me of strep. i also have a white/yellow coated tongue. my throat is also a little scratchy. could this be thrush?

No: Usually your dehydrated resulting in concentrated urine. Drink more water:  enough to produce &gt;/= 2l/24 hours. Your probably would reduce your UTI risk anyway by practicing regular/constant "hydration.".

Not unusual: The gel stays in the vaginal canal during the course of treatment and its appearance changes over time.If your symptoms do not resolve with treatment you should be re checked.

It can cause darker coloured urine
If symptoms of discharge persist see your doctor as you might need swabs for testing
Symptoms usually settle after stopping treatment

May need diff drug: You may have an infection that requires a different anti-biotic treatment  may even be a urinary tract infection. Please contact your health care professional for further evaluation and treatment.

Lingual lesions: These may be entirely normal, but the best thing to do is to have a doctor or a dentist examine these and tell you what they think. Without seeing them would only be guessing.

Yeast? Recheck w/ MD: You say nothing about timing. How soon after starting or finishing metronidazole? Any other symptoms, like itching or irritation? Antibiotics like metronidazole can result in yeast infection, which often causes "clumped" discharge -- although usually white, and main symptom usually is itching etc. Best to check back with the doctor who treated your BV.
