Continual bleeding: Your Mom continues to bleed and from your biopsy findings indicate that she has seen a MD. The biopsy could be cervical or a failed endometrial biopsy. It appears to be non-cancerous.(benign) The bleeding site may be either the lining of the womb(endometrium) or from a cervical growth to which you don't indicate in your question. Your Mom needs to see a GYN MD either as a 2nd opinion.

Normal: The biopsy and  curettage bleeding may have been from the endocervical canal and biopsy site causing delayed bleeding.

Not a diagnosis: Cytolysis simply means that the cells dried out before they were chemically fixed.  When you get a traditional pap-smear, the cells are smeared on a glass slide and must be sprayed with a fixative within 30 seconds or they will dry out causing cytolysis. It is not a diagnosis of anything abnormal and won't cause your bleeding problem.

Get checked: If you are having pain and bleeding with intercourse that is not normal and you need to get checked.

Up to 3 months: A copper iud might take up to 3 months because it causes a lot of inflammation. A Progesterone iud should be shorter because the hormone is removed and the lining is shed off sooner.

Variable: Sounds like your system is getting used to the new hormonal balance.  Give it about four cycles (months).  If the bleeding is still irregular, a work up (ob/gyn) would be reasonable.

Generally: Within an hour unless you have been on drugs to prevent clotting (baby aspirin, coumadin). See your dentist if it persists.

Not necessarily.: If the polyp was causing the bleeding between periods and it was removed, likely this problem would go away. There are other reasons for bleeding between periods, though, and if this was not addressed, the bleeding may continue.

See below: Usually a few days, but if you have a ureteral stent in place, you may see bleeding for as long as the stent is present.  Be sure to drink plenty of fluids to keep your system flushed out.

i had a d&c on the 6th jan i bled for a few days, then it stopped & now im bleeding on & off for 14 days, i have started duphaston 2 daily for 5 days now yet d bleeding wont stop. d biopsy result came out clear except for removal of a polyp & pcos?

: See the physician who performed the D&amp;C, as this bleeding is not usual for what is described.  Taking Duphaston will usually stop dysfunctional bleeding.
